The Committee is elected at our  AGM in September, but new members can join at any time of year. Everyone is welcome to join the Committee, but you don’t have to be a member to take part in events or to help out.

The Committee meets once a month in term time. Our meetings are  informal and fun and provide a good opportunity to get to know other parents better.  Some members say they only joined as an excuse for a night out with their friends, but we do get a lot of business done too! At each meeting, we review past events, plan future activities and agree how to spend the money we’ve raised. A member of the school staff also comes along – usually the Head or the Bursar – with a shopping list!  It’s a good opportunity to hear about the school’s development plans and to see how we can work together to the benefit of all of our children.

If you join the committee, we won’t expect you to help out at every event, so don’t worry about taking on too much.  Committee members usually find they have one or two of our events that are their favourites.  Some of them have a special skill to offer, such as accountancy or creative flair for decorations at themed events – but we all just muck in.  The team work is good fun and very rewarding.

The Chairman is currently Vicky Starling, mum to Molly in Year 6. Vice-Chair is Becki Spokes, mum to Seb in Year 6.  Secretary is Angela Walker, mum to Lucas in Year 5 and Hugo in Year 3 and Andrew Warner, dad of Katherine in Year 1, is Treasurer.
